  • 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup diced apple
  • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • dash ground cloves


  1. Add all ingredients to a small pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat and simmer until oatmeal is cooked and thickened, about 5 minutes.

  3. Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

Alternately, this can be prepared in the microwave by adding all ingredients to a microwave safe bowl, and micowaving for about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. Watch that it doesn't boil over.
